We just wanted to say good day to all the government agencies that may be reading this. Have a good weekend, may God bless you and The United States of America.

Reblogged from Ahrcanum:

Thinking of recent developments in politicians who are supposed to fight crime and not commit crimes, I am reminded of former Congressman Jim Traficant of Ohio.  Famous for his unique one minute speeches, http://www.thememoryhole.org/traficant/  A partial biography can be found here http://www.freetraficant.com/bio.html.

Traficant served 17 years in Congress but in July of 2002,  received an eight year  prison sentence after being convicted of racketeering, bribery, obstruction of justice and tax evasion.

Yea, the corn is growing! Just little corn sprouts for now but last weeks frost gave a scare. Because we planted later than usual the leaves were close to the warm earth. Whew.

For city readers, the saying is knee high by 4th of July, then it will have a growth spurt. You know the corn is about ready to pick when it gets tassels on the top. Today marks 30 days until 4th July!

For now, my mouth is watering for some corn on the cob, drenched in real butter, add salt. A clam and lobster bake sounds like a winning idea.

As for our government as of late, I can think of a few politicians who could use a day on a farm, meet the real people that they work for. May be tempted to shove a cob in the pipes. Oh my! Kidding kidding!

And this business about collecting DNA, what an abomination from SCOTUS. The government can’t figure out DNA In genetically modified food for heck sake.

Arg mates, praying for a bit of rain and some better transparency from DC.

Oh and the best part of the day- neighbor farm- Day One Strawberry Picking!

Here’s a sneak peek photo of the corn nubs.

Whoooo hoooo the lightning bugs are back. Not officially summer, but darn nice to see them sparkling in the night sky. A few solar lamps in a sea of yellow mating dance going on.

Beautiful view off of the farm porch this morning. Chance of rain, fluffy clouds and zero chemtrails! Rose bush in full bloom with hundreds of red flowers. Air smells sweet. Thanks God for the many blessings.

Life is good.

TICKS! Photo

Ticks suck. Up to number 8 on this farmer. It’s gross, disgusting and yes- ticks suck your blood. Edward and Bella from the movie, “Twilight” got nothing on this family. Me 8, dog 2, rabbit 1, spouse 1. Kids ZERO!

Pausing for a pizza snack and another tick shows up. Really? Like I was about to wipe my mouth w that napkin!

How we don’t have Lyme’s disease is beyond me. Annual tests say no, thank you God. What? We should stay inside? Eff that. It’s what we do, grow food, garden, plant, raise animals.

You are welcome.

Some son of a bugger at the gas statio asked where we were on vacation bc we are all tan. Replied, “on a tractor.” Get a life. Some work in an office and we are blessed- our office is on the farm.

Really tho- a tick on my effn napkin? A tick that has ticked me off. DISGUSTING.

Burn baby, burn.

Apples! Photo

Yes, it looks like our apple trees survived the frost. The grapes- well, we’ll have to wait and see.

Just another day as a farmer.
